Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall volleyball team (9-6, 2-0 CC) looks to build on their four-game win streak with two Centennial Conference matches this week. F&M plays Haverford (8-6, 2-1 CC) Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The Diplomats then play an away match against Washington (9-7, 1-1 CC) Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

Last Week

The Diplomats put away Gettysburg, 3-0, in Wednesday's match. Gianna Mangiamele led the way with 14 kills in the victory. Sydney Levins was right behind her, posting 12 kills. Liah Perez dished out a game-high 21 assists in the win. The Diplomats recorded 12 block assists as a team in the match. Read the recap here.

F&M went on to defeat Cabrini, 3-0, Friday evening for its fourth-consecutive sweep. The Diplomats have not dropped a set at home since the opening weekend. Led by Mangiamele's 13 kills, the Diplomats recorded a hitting percentage of .227 on the day. Lauren Arnold finished with two solo blocks and two block assists in the victory. Last Time

Haverford swept Franklin & Marshall, 3-0, in its last matchup during the 2021 campaign. Nicole Carey '21 finished with 11 kills and a .333 hitting percentage on the night. F&M held the lead halfway through each set, but could not hold off the Fords as they came back to win each frame. Read the recap here.

The last time the Diplomats beat Haverford was during the 2019 season when F&M won 3-1. Delaney Hahn '20 and Amy Mullen '20 combined for 25 kills in the match. Mullen also led the game with a hitting percentage of .458. Grace Maggiore '20 recorded a game-high 44 assists in the win. Read the recap here.

Franklin and Marshall swept Washington, 3-0, during its 2021 meeting. F&M was dominant the entire match, posting a .478 hitting percentage in the third set. Allison Franke '21 had a game-high seven kills. Hannah McCarthy led the team with 18 assists. The Diplomats had 11 block assists in the victory. Read the recap here.

The Diplomats carry a 32-game winning streak against Washington into Saturday's match. The Shorewomen haven't beaten F&M since the 1989 season.

Haverford Team Preview

After winning four matches in a row to end the month of September, the Fords have dropped their last two matches to Johns Hopkins and York. Haverford has picked up CC wins against McDaniel and Bryn Mawr by sweeping both matches. Taylor Jones leads Haverford with 111 kills and a conference-best hitting percentage of .360. Jones also averages one block per set, which is the highest in the CC.

Washington Team Preview

The Shorewomen come into Saturday having won two of their last five matches. Against CC teams, Washington defeated McDaniel, 3-2, before falling to Ursinus, 3-2. Jordan Fairchild has a conference-best 42 service aces, so far this fall. Giselle Kleinbussink is fifth in the CC with a hitting percentage of .283.
