Game Notes

The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team (1-2) travels to Chestertown, Md. to play a road Centennial Conference game against Washington College (2-0) Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Last Week

Franklin & Marshall began its season against Mary Washington, where the Diplomats were defeated 57-40. Abby Meredith led F&M in scoring with 13 points off the bench, shooting 5-of-9 (55.6 percent) from the field and 3-of-6 (50 percent) from beyond the arc.

F&M then hosted the Terry Greene Tip-Off Tournament, where the Diplomats advanced to the championship game with a 73-71 win over Penn State-Harrisburg. In the victory over the Lions, three Diplomats finished with double-digit points as Natalie Kolb and Kennedy Wilburn led the scoring with 18 points each. Quinn Galligan closely followed with 10 points of her own. Wilburn also pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds in the contest. Read the recap here.

The Diplomats fell to Elizabethtown, 58-45, in the championship game of the Terry Green Tip-Off Tournament Sunday afternoon. Jacyln Feit posted the 15th triple-double in Centennial Conference women's basketball history as she finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Her 10 blocks also tied her with Amy Abernathy '04 in the program record books for most in a single-game. Read the recap here.

Last Time

Washington College defeated F&M in both meetings last season, with the most recent game coming in February where the Shorewomen pushed past the Diplomats 62-55 in the contest. In the game, F&M erased a 10-point deficit, but Washington clawed its way back in the fourth quarter to win. Kenna Williams '22 netted 18 points with 12 rebounds and four blocks in the contest. D'Naisha Bellamy-Greene '22 and Quinn Galligan finished with eight points each. Read the recap here.

Washington College Team Preview

The Shorewomen come into Saturday's game having won both of their games so far this season. Washington College beat Notre Dame of Maryland 96-74 and Marymount 52-47. Guard Joy Sanders leads the team in points, averaging 13.5 per game. Sanders is currently shooting 50 percent (11-of-22) from the field and 75 percent (3-of-4) from beyond the arc.
