Last Time Out
Franklin & Marshall will be looking to bounce back from a 12-10 defeat at the hands of No. 10 Wesleyan in the team's most recent outing. During the top 10 battle, the Cardinals scored six of the eight goals during the second period to take a 7-3 lead at the break. Despite the Diplomats holding the advantage in second half scoring, that early deficit proved too much to overcome in 12-10 setback.
Lydia Cassilly added yet another hat trick with three goals, while Maddy Birch added two. Seven different Diplomats scoring in the top 10 matchup, with Madison Bray and Devyn Crone each registering multiple points. The Cardinals were paced by five players who recorded multiple goals. Alyssa Moran came up huge in goal during the first quarter, stopping five of the six shots on goal that she faced during the first 15 minutes.
The Diplomats enter this week ranked No. 8 in the latest IWLCA Top 25 poll. They have flipped between No. 6 and No. 8 in the poll during each of the first four releases.
Last Time vs. Rhodes
Meeting for the first time in program history during the 2015 NCAA Tournament, the then-No. 3 Diplomats defeated Rhodes 21-3 in a second round matchup. Paige Moriarty paced the Diplomats with four scores and two assists while Grace Saliba handed out four helpers with two scores. Brittney Jorgenson scored three times and dished out three assists, Casey Madden had a pair of goals and two assists, while Gabby Frank had three goals. Katie Groenke scored twice and Claire Jackson, Emily Everdell, Taylor Freud, Christie Huidekoper all tallied a goal. Hannah Serling had a goal and an assist and Claire Jackson, along with Stephanie Speese both finished with a helper.
Following a first round bye and that resounding win over Rhodes, the Diplomats advanced all the way to the Final Four which was at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.

These two teams will be meeting for the first time in program history when they line up for the opening draw in Florida.
Rhodes Preview
Rhodes enters the week 3-3 on the year and will have a game on Monday in the Sunshine State against Babson before facing the Diplomats just two days later. The Lynx have made the NCAA Tournament every year that the tournament has been held since 2015, earning the automatic qualifier out of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). Outside of this matchup, the teams have no common opponents on their respective 2023 schedules. Avery Burke leads the Rhodes attack with 20 goals during the team's first six games. Carina Wesker (18 goals), Chloe Parker (15 goals), and Caroline Kardian (11 goals) also have double digit goals through the early part of the season. Opponents have had a very slight upper hand in draw controls against hte Lynx who are stopping 47 percent of the shots that they face on goal.
Shenandoah Preview
Shenandoah is 4-2 on the season. The Hornets will be playing their third Centennial Conference Opponent of the season when they square off against the Diplomats. The Hornets have already defeated McDaniel, 17-7, but suffered a 12-11 setback against Dickinson. They will enter the matchup coming off of a 20-6 triumph against Susquehanna. Ainsley Buckner leads the team with 14 goals, while the top point producer is Emma Stiffler who has 11 goals and 13 assists. Gabriella Raspanti has 11 more goals for the Hornets. Opponents have had the better of the draw controls against the Hornets, but Shenandoah is stopping 51.6 percent of the shots its goalies have faced this year. Ashley McFarlane has seen the majority of the action in goal and has posted a 55.2 save percentage to date.
