Company History

Family One® was founded as, and remains, a family-centered organization. Its story begins with two sisters, Ms. Tenisha L. Bowman, Executive Director, and Ms. Tiffany Y. Bowman, Director of Client Services. Both are Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) with more than 20 years of experience in the medical field, providing direct care to individuals, families, and communities across a variety of settings.

After their eldest brother, Mr. Terrance L. Bowman, was diagnosed with bone cancer, the sisters were inspired to use their years of professional caregiving experience to establish care services that would support his care journey. Family One® Care Services was born from that experience. His journey also helped shape the company’s early mission of care, as he was among its initial clients.

They were joined by Ms. Georgetta Maddox, a registered nurse (RN) and seasoned healthcare professional, who serves as Director of Clinical Services, HHA Administrator, and RN Supervisor. With additional support from their youngest brother, Mr. Tawan J. Bowling, Director of Operations, and their niece, Ms. Alliyah C. Bowman, Program Manager of Client Services, this leadership team launched the Family One® Home Health Agency (HHA) in 2025.

During its provisional license period, the agency successfully provided direct care services to ten initial clients in its first six months of operation. On March 26, 2026, the company received its regular HHA license from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS).

Recognizing the importance of an integrated service delivery model, the company launched the Family One® Center, a central hub for childcare, education, care services, staffing services, and transportation. These services are housed under one roof at its offices in West Allis, Wisconsin.
