Military Information:

The Office of Senator Kirsten Gillibrand will be hosting two events:

• 2026 Virtual Service Academy Information Night on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM EDT.

• 2026 Service Academy Night on Thursday, October 1st from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Zebro Family Conference Room at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center’s Center for Genetics & Pharmacology located at 670 Virginia Street in Buffalo, New York 14263.

The Virtual Service Academy night is specifically designed to give you strategic, practical advice on mastering your application and acing your congressional nomination interviews. During this online session, you will hear directly from Service Academy admissions representatives on building a strong candidate profile, receive actionable tips from Senator Gillibrand’s former nomination panelists on how to excel in your interview, and gain firsthand insight from a past nomination recipient who successfully navigated the journey from applicant to nominee.

While the Service Academy Night will be held in person and focus on meeting representatives from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. There students will have an opportunity to learn about the unique academic and career opportunities offered through our nation’s service academies.

Whether you are curious about Service Academy or fine-tuning your application materials or preparing for interview day, these events will equip you with essential tools and resources to help you ace this process.

Students may apply for a 2026 Service Academy Nomination through Senator Gillibrand’s website: https://www.gillibrand.senate.gov/help/academy-nominations/. The deadline to apply and submit all materials in consideration for a nomination through our office is Monday, October 12, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

We welcome recruiters from various branches of the Armed Services to visit with interested students. Please contact us if you would like to schedule a virtual visit or have us forward contact information to a student.
