Suicide and self-harm among K–12 students have become a growing crisis in the United States. Suicide is now one of the leading causes of death for youth aged 10 to 24, with over 6,500 young lives lost annually. Studies show that between 18% and 30% of high school students seriously consider suicide, and around 10% to 13% actually attempt it each year. This data shows the critical need for comprehensive mental health support for children and adolescents of all ages.
