I am Mason Yeoh. I am 17 years old and a high school Junior in the 11th Grade at Fairfield Warde High School in Fairfield, Connecticut. I am an avid musician, playing the trumpet, piano, and violin. I performed a piano solo at Carnegie Hall. I have a passion for Jazz music, and I am a member of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Youth Orchestra, playing the trumpet. I recently performed at Dizzy's Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center, and had the distinct honor of playing with Marcus Printup, the legendry trumpeter. I am also a keen student of the culinary arts and I enjoy preparing various cuisines. I used to be a swimmer and I used to ride horses, but I have stopped those activities because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

I am an online student and continue to be schooled at home because I am protecting my 26 year old brother, Mitchell, who is shown on the left in the photograph above. He is a triple organ transplant recipient - two kidneys and one liver. He is also a survivor of B-Cell Lymphoma and Gastrointestinal Cancer. Mitchell is severely immune compromised and is highly susceptible to bacterial and viral infections. Despite all that, Mitchell is a Harvard graduate, and he also has a Masters from Harvard. Mitchell is one of my main sources of inspirations and motivation in my life. My brother, Mitchell, is my Great Gatsby, and I dedicate this website to him.

I have learned that I can go through a worldwide pandemic and still pursue things that I am passionate about, and I can share those ideas and passions with others. I have learned that being thoughtful and helping others brings me and others joy, and it makes me feel like I am achieving something great. The American Dream may be like grasping for the impossible, but having faith and trying to achieve in the midst of impossible conditions is something that we can all do. I am hopeful for the future, and I hope that other students can find this website a helpful resource.
