Video Options for Instruction

If you would like to record a video of yourself demonstrating a skill, concept or other instructional information for your class, you have several options:

  1. Use WeVideo to create, edit and share a video on your Google Classroom. You can record a video of you doing something in front of the computer camera, or use the screen capture option to record a video of you doing something on your computer screen. If you choose to use the WeVideo option, go to the WeVideo instructional page.

  2. Screencastify is an app that allows you to do a simple less than 5 minute instructional video recording of you doing something on your computer screen. You can then post this on your Google Classroom. If you choose this option, go to the Screencastify instructional page.

  3. Flipgrid now offers screencasting abilities with a 10 minute limit. For more information go to the Flipgrid instructional page.

  4. Use your Chromebook camera to record a simple video of you doing some instruction for your class. Then post this on your Google Classroom. See the directions below for this option.
