Option 1:
Create a character from each decade you have studied. Describe the character with details about who they are, what his or her daily life is like, and what they may enjoy doing in his or her spare time. Have each of these characters write a letter to people living in 2020 sharing their message and lessons they learned from their time period. Be sure to add details from the characters’ time periods.
Technology to showcase your project. These are options. You can certainly think of one yourself. You can also use no technology and use paper, pens, markers, etc.

Option 2:
Have a person from each time period gather for a discussion about what their life was like. Write a short play or movie scene that has this group of people discussing their lives. Be sure to include dialogue between the characters (do not have a bunch of monologues in a row, actually have the people talk to each other). Try to include stage directions.

Option 1: Diaries from the past: What would happen if you found the diaries of people who lived in different time periods? Create a series of 10 diary entries that span a year from a person who lived in one of the time periods you have studied
Option 2: Choose a person from one of the decades you have studied and place them in the setting of another time period. How would the person’s experiences support them when they were navigating the difficulties of a different time period? What lessons of hope from their own lives could these characters bring to the other people in the other decade?
Option 3: Get in a time machine… and go visit another decade. What lessons could you bring from your own experiences that could assist others in a different decade. Remember the “rules” of the decade still apply. For example, you can’t bring your Iphone to a time period before the time of its invention.
Option 1: Explore one of the time periods in further detail. What primary source documents can you find from that time period? Secondary source documents? Informational text? Generate an informational report exploring another aspect of the decade. Use at least 5-7 sources of information. *Wikipedia should not be used as a core resource
Option 2: Compare and Contrast two decades that you studied. Using facts and details, how were the time periods similar and how were they different?
Option 3: Using the webquest as a model, choose another time period in the United States’ history and create a resource
web for that decade.
