Operating Engineers Ohio Local 18
Building the roads and bridges we use in Ohio, the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 18, represents operating engineers. Our engineers work as heavy equipment operators running cranes, dozers, front loaders and other critical construction machinery. Our team also consists of stationary engineers who work in the operations and maintenance of buildings and industrial complexes.
The Elite Welding Academy provides a 26 week career-focused, hands on program in Structural and Pipe Welding.

The Greater Cincinnati Apprenticeship Council (GCAC) is an organization of union building trade apprenticeship program directors.
IBEW-NECA Electrical Training Center
Apprentices in our four-year Electrical Construction Apprenticeship Program obtain at least 8000 hours of compensated on-the-job training and at least 720 hours of related classroom training. Upon completion, the apprentice graduates to Inside Journeyman Wireman status and is fully qualified to perform the work of the trade. Apprentices in our four-year Telecommunications Apprenticeship Program will obtain at least 8000 hours of on-the-job experience and at least 640 hours of related classroom training. Upon completion, the apprentice graduates to Installer Technician status and is fully qualified to perform the work of the trade.
Independent Electrical Contractors of Greater Cincinnati
Through our nationally recognized apprenticeship school and trade skill program, apprentices learn skills to become qualified journeyman electricians while earning great wages with excellent employee benefits offered by IEC Member Contractors. Why is IEC apprenticeship training an important career opportunity for you? Qualified electricians, certified by the state, are in high demand. Enrolling in our program is the first step toward achieving certification. Certified electricians are paid more per hour, they are better positioned for promotions, and possess a broad range of essential electrical skills necessary to work in the electrical industry.
