Pre-AP Physics will provide an overview of mathematical physics in both Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism, preparing students for a college level Algebra based Physics course. Students will verify both theoretically - through mathematical problem solving - and empirically - conducting experiments in a lab setting - many of the physical laws discovered since the scientific revolution in the 1600’s. A large component of this course will be laboratory and/or inquiry based. Students should expect to work with and solve mathematical problems on a daily basis. Additionally students will use an inquiry based learning to develop their understanding of Physics concepts. Students will hone their ability to present their data and develop a logical argument to support a proposed solution to various laboratory exercises.
