If going straight to a four-year university is an option, sign up to take the PSAT exam in October. Taking it as a junior qualifies you for the national merit scholarship program and puts you in a data base to receive free college information and scholarship opportunities.
Sign up to attend the Junior college trip. Second semester we visit university campuses, listen for details and sign up times in the bulletin.
Make sure you are in contact with your counselor regularly! Ask questions! There are a lot of dates and deadlines to know during this time. Staying informed is important!
Take the SAT/ACT for the first time in the spring/summer. You will receive a testing schedule at registration when you sign up for classes. EUHS offers the June SAT exam on campus! Sign up online at collegeboard.org or ACT at www.actstudent.org

If possible, volunteer or get a summer job in the field you are interested in for experience.
Be sure you are adding to the “brag sheet” you created Freshman year. You will need this information as you start build your resume for scholarships, college applications, and jobs.
