Jackie Pool is a leading UK specialist in dementia care who has dedicated her professional career of more than 30 years to improving the lives of people who are living with dementia. She began as an Occupational Therapy support worker in a Liverpool hospital in the early 1980s where she saw at first-hand how services provided to people with dementia could vary from being highly supportive to being undermining of an individual’s wellbeing.
Sue Evans is an experienced Occupational Therapist who has been involved in research on developing GREAT Cognitive Rehabilitation for over 10 years and has extensive hands-on experience of delivering the intervention to people with early-stage Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Sue has recently been training and supervising practitioners as part of her involvement in the GREAT into Practice Implementation study. She lives and works in mountainous North Wales.
