Students: Please make sure you have a ride to pick you up on time as your activity ends.
Students: If you won't be staying for an after-school activity, please have a ride when school dismisses at 2:10 p.m.
Any student not picked up by 2:20 p.m. will move to the room of a teacher on duty.

Seniors - Lilly Scholarship application is open. The Vanderburgh Community Foundation is proud to once again offer the prestigious Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program (LECSP), an incredible opportunity for students to receive a full tuition scholarship to any accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana. Applications must be submitted by Monday, August 25, 2025. See Dr. Woodruff for details.
Freshman Fun Night is TOMORROW from 2:15 - 3:30 p.m. in the gym. Enjoy pizza, snacks, karaoke, basketball, games, fun, and fellowship...we hope ALL freshmen will join in the fun!

Whether you’re passionate about social justice, sustainability, innovation, or helping others, this is your opportunity to turn ideas into action. This club will assist you in developing your idea/pitch to be entered into a competition at the University of Evansville. Who won two years ago?---New Tech Institute. Our two student competitors are now attending UE with a full-ride, renewable four-year scholarship. Our first meeting will be after school in room 18, starting September 8.

The Mayor's Youth Advisory Council offers a meaningful opportunity for young people in grades 8–12 to develop leadership skills, collaborate with peers, participate in community projects, and provide input on issues that affect youth in Evansville. Members will meet monthly and contribute to community events and initiatives throughout the nine-month term. Application is available here.
Key Details:
Eligibility: Students in grades 8–12, residing and attending school in the City of Evansville (including homeschool, public, or private).
Term: September 2025 – May 2026.
Application Deadline: August 25, 2025.
First Meeting: Thursday, September 11, 2025.

Cafeteria information:
- One person at a time can leave to use the restroom.
- Line cutting doesn't work in the real world...so make sure you don't do it here.
- Everyone eats lunch in the cafeteria.
- Keep food in the cafeteria to avoid messes in the hallway (except for breakfast).
New Tech is a closed campus: make sure that you stay on campus all day - going to the gas station is not allowed.

All students eat lunch in the cafeteria - due to supervision, students can't eat lunch in classrooms.
Class dismissal: The teacher dismisses classes each period (not the bell or the clock).
The auditorium, gym, upstairs, and basement are not accessible without the supervision of a staff member - this policy applies before, during, and after school. All students must be supervised by an adult at all times.
* Blankets are not included in the "cool weather items" listed in the dress code - thank you in advance for keeping blankets at home. Let the office know if you need a hoodie or sweatshirt if you get cold in class.
* Please pick up trash in the hallways and cafeteria - do your part to keep our school clean.
* The faculty restroom and the teacher workroom are for staff members only; students are not allowed in these areas.
* Before hanging flyers in the hallways, please get permission from the office...we need to make sure we aren't using tape that will peel off our new paint.
