Wireless Communication Device Policy - with clarifications: Indiana State Law has banned using wireless communication devices in school during instructional time. As a result, students cannot use or have visible cell phones, smart watches, AirPods, or earbuds during class. If a teacher sees a student with any of these devices during class time, the student will go to the office for the device to be held until the end of the day.
- Students may use devices during lunch and during the two-minute passing periods between classes.
- This policy is a significant change and will require some adjustment. We appreciate your cooperation and patience.
- Wired headphones or earbuds are allowable with the teacher's permission (not during instruction or collaboration).
- Wireless Communication Devices are allowed only during lunch and passing periods...otherwise, they are not allowed per Indiana state law. This guideline includes the study hall/enrichment time from 10:00 - 10:38 a.m. in the cafeteria.
