Evansville's First Skyscraper for sale
Written by Gabriel Torres of the NTN
The former “Hilliard Lyons” building is for sale in downtown Evansville. At 329 Main Street, it’s on the National Register of Historic Places. The real estate listing shows it was built in 1916 and was Evansville’s first skyscraper. The Kunkel Group renovated the building into apartments in 2012. It’s now owned by a group of bondholders. The listing shows there are 50 units, and it’s 92% full of tenants. There is also commercial space on the ground floor and the potential for more in the basement. We know the building is nearly 66,000 square feet, but as for a price, the realtor says they are open to offers.
