🍎Daily Breakfast Time 9:20 - 9:30 AM
One breakfast and one lunch are FREE for all students each day during the 2025-26 school year. Students can pay for additional snacks or drinks during their lunch period. Extra fruit (apples, bananas, raisins) are available to grab in the cafeteria daily.
🥪Food Deliveries: We do not accept 3rd party food deliveries or mobile phone orders for students.📱❌
2026-27 In-District Boundary Exceptions can be submitted starting Monday, January 12, 2026.

2026-27 Out-of-District families need to wait until May to submit Choice Transfer Requests. Current families with a Choice Transfer will get a reminder 2 weeks in advance.

Evergreen Youth Sports Program
Evergreen Youth Sports Program has two exciting fundraising events coming up:
Evergreen Youth Sports Program is hosting an Evergreen Night at the Rip City Remix game on Friday, March 20th. At this event, the unified teams at Shahala, Pacific, and Wy’East will be joining us on the court for pre game fun and play. We hope to see you there!
The Blazers’ RIPCITY youth camp will be hosting a week-long camp at Mt. View High School. The camp will take place over spring break (Apr 6-10) and is open to students in 1st - 9th grade.

2025-2026 Yearbooks
There is still time to submit your yearbook order before the May 15th deadline! Yearbooks are $25 and can be purchased online. Head to Shahala’s homepage and click “Purchase a Yearbook” on the right hand side.
Spring Comprehensive Sexual Health Education Family Preview Nights
Parents and guardians are invited to attend family preview nights of the Comprehensive Sexual Health Education. There are 3 sessions offered in English (3/17/26), Russian (4/1/26) and Spanish (3/17/26). Please see the flyer for more details, including schedules and links for sessions in different languages.
Community Learning Sessions: Stress Management
Connect Evergreen is hosting a Community Learning Session on March 25th at 6pm at the Administrative Service Center. The topic is Healthy Relationships. Please see the attached flyer for more details. Contact kelley.brown@evergreenps.org for questions.
Save the Date! 8th Grade Farewell Celebration
On Thursday, June 18th, we will be celebrating with our 8th grade students from 1:30 PM to 4:05 PM at Shahala Middle School. The cost of this event is $20.00. Each $20.00 ticket includes a trip to the Kona Ice Truck, a special dessert, unlimited activities and games with prizes, and a photo booth & free pictures. Students will also have a BBQ lunch option, and we will have a special motivational guest speaker. Shahala student behavior expectations apply at this event. More information will be coming out later in the Spring about this event.
Please note that this has been pushed back one day due to the school closure on 12/17/2025. The date is subject to additional change due to possible future snow days.
The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland
Drama Club will be performing "The Real Story of Alice in Wonderland" at 7pm on Friday, March 20th and Saturday, March 21st. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show is free to attend. We hope to see you there!
