SOAR/ Helix

Helix: An advocacy period of mixed-aged students focused on character and community building. 

SOAR: Independent study-hall period. Students can request a pass to see a specific teacher or may be given a pass by the teacher to come in and make-up classwork/tests, receive academic support or work on projects.Students must have a pass to attend a SOAR session.

The process:

SOAR - 60 mins

(Fridays)

This time can be used for 1:1 help, for small-group or large-group targeted instruction in your room. Only teachers providing intervention support to a student can write them a pass to go outside their regular classroom during SOAR.

Helix - 60 mins

(Tuesdays)

Students participate in a curriculum that includes social-emotional learning support, community building, getting and staying involved in our school, and important updates.
