In coordination with Project Lead the Way, Introduction to Engineering Design provides a study of the basic concepts of Engineering design and major technological systems used in our society. Students dig deep into the engineering design process, applying math, science and engineering standards to hands-on projects. They work both individually and in teams to design solutions to a variety of problems using 3D modeling software, and use an engineering notebook to document their work. Building enthusiasm for and a real understand role, impact, and practice of engineering is the primary goal of the course.1 This course is open to all students not enrolled in the STEM Academy.
