Music Appreciation

Music Appreciation is a class in our elective Exploratory wheel. Students have the opportunity to participate in 1 trimester of music appreciation.

Music Appreciation is about more than just appreciating music. In this class we will listen to, analyze, and respond to music. Students will listen to music and describe it, using the language of music. Students will also have the opportunity to create music using GarageBand and can even submit their work to the Escondido SmART Festival!

Assignments in this class include: composing music on garage band, learning about composers from different musical eras, listening to and watching performances and grading them, researching a musician you like, and more!
