The Rincon band program is open to all students grades 6-8. Students are grouped by ability level: Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, and Advanced Band. Any student can join the beginning band, it's never too late to learn an instrument!

The instruments taught in the Rincon Band are: Flute/Piccolo, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone (Alto, Tenor, Bari), French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion.

Students are encouraged to use their own instruments, but the Rincon Music Department does have instruments available for loan. If you are interested in borrowing an instrument from the school, please contact Mrs. Barlow.

Band meets every day. Students are expected to attend class and participate in any performances we have throughout the yea, including our final performance at the California Center for the Arts, Escondido. Since band is a performance-based class, our goal is to perform for our friends, family, and community.
