FILM VOCABULARY TO KNOW
Script: refers to the written text of a film - detailing the story, setting, dialogue, and sequence of all events in the film
Plot: refers to a series of dramatic events or actions that make up a film's narrative;
Hook: the hook is what grabs the viewer's attention, preferably in the first 5–10 min
Suspense: to promote intense excitement, suspense, a high level of anticipation, uncertainty, and nerve-wracking tension
Perspective: a point of view or way of seeing the world
Confrontation: "rising action", typically depicts the actors attempt to resolve the problem
Resolution: the outcome, refers to how things turned out for all of the characters

FILM IS A THREE ACT STRUCTURE
Some people like to call them the beginning, middle, and end, which is not inaccurate, BUT the point of the ACTS are to make sure the story evolves and the stakes get higher.
