Having this opportunity to student teach with Mrs. Walker is so incredibly special for me.  I have two daughters at Greenhills (1st and 3rd grades) and both had Mrs. Walker for kindergarten. I am honored and so grateful to be a part of Mrs. Walker’s class and become an Imagineer myself!

I have taken the path less traveled to become a teacher. I went to college at CSU, Chico and earned my undergrad degree in Journalism. I wanted to teach English, and did all of the prep to get into the credential program, but life had other plans and I ended up in law school instead (a very drastic change of plans!). After some time, I came to understand that a law career was not meant for me. When my daughters started elementary school, I realized just how much I enjoyed early childhood education. I have spent the last two years working as an aide in Mrs. Gomez’s TK classroom, here at Greenhills, where I fell in love with being in the classroom and teaching young learners. I cannot imagine doing anything else!
