Fun Fact: Most scholarships are due in Dec, Jan, Feb, March, & April!
Applicant must be a current resident of California and between the ages of 12 Years and 21 Years as of January 1 of the application submission year.
Applicant must have an active interest in at least one of the following categories (experience not required) and plan to be engaged in food production and/or delivery through education or experience within a chosen category. The five specific categories and award values are:
Livestock/Animal Agriculture production – Value of two awards offered each - $1000 - $2,800.
Agricultural mechanics/technology – Value of award offered - $1,000 - $1,500.
Culinary/food science endeavors – Value of award offered - $750 - $1,000.
Plant/crop science – Value of award offered - $750 - $1,500.
Small Stock including rabbit/poultry/waterfowl/game fowl – Value of award offered - $500 - $750

Academic scholarships have been made possible through the contributions of San Diego County Flower & Plant Association members and will be awarded to the student(s) who display academic achievement and/or experience in horticulture/floriculture, as well as desire and promise. He or she must be, planning continued study in ornamental horticulture/floriculture and/or currently attending an accredited college, and intend to contribute to the horticultural/floricultural community in California after graduation.
Please make a point to acquaint your students with the San Diego County Flower & Plant Association and this generous scholarship opportunity! Application forms must be received by April 30, 2025. The scholarship recipient will be determined by mid-May. Students will be notified of the results shortly thereafter.
National Rainbow College Fund (NRCF), designed to support LGBTQ+ students in San Diego County and throughout California with awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000. Some scholarships are renewable, providing ongoing financial support throughout a student's undergraduate journey.

The Don Diego Scholarship Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that provides scholarships for outstanding high school seniors and graduates who participate in activities and events at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, including the San Diego County Fair. Scholarship winners demonstrate talent for organization, leadership and innovation and make a valuable contribution to the community through participation in events at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, their school and extracurricular activities.
Scholarships are offered in each of four categories: 4-H, FFA, Employee, and Exhibitor/ Participant.
Junior Livestock Auction (JLA) Scholarships are offered to students who qualify for the 4-H or FFA Scholarship and who wish to apply also for a JLA Scholarship.
Vocational Education Scholarships are offered to support students pursuing an AA/AS degree or certificate at a community college or accredited trade school.

YQCA is excited to launch a new scholarship program for certified youth, ranging from high school seniors to age 21, pursuing an agriculture degree or trade.
We will provide a total of $30,000 in scholarships to selected youth in 2025! Individual scholarships will be awarded in the following amounts:

The California Agricultural Leadership Foundation Class 50 is proud to offer a scholarship and mentoring program to students from California High Schools who have chosen a field of study that supports an agriculture-related career. A $1,000 check will be awarded to the school who has the most ACRS21 Certificate Pathway completers this academic year as reported by AET. We encourage you to review your students' AET and assist those who qualify to complete their applications.
The EWI Scholarship Program offers college scholarships to top high school seniors enrolled in a public, private, charter or parochial school located within San Diego County or persons who are homeschooled within San Diego County and plan to pursue an associates, bachelor's or master's degree, or certification program in a specific career path. The award of this scholarship is based upon the academic standards set forth in the application and financial need. This program has been approved by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the American Vocational Association.

Jaimie Lynne Pettey was an active member of the Bloomington FFA Chapter, participating in livestock projects, livestock judging, parli-pro and leadership-holding offices in both her Bloomington Chapter and the Citrus Section. She was dedicated to all that the FFA had to offer. These scholarships are given in her memory and honor for all the lives that she touched and continues to touch by helping students achieve their educational goals. Her family sells a market lamb every year at the fair and the funds that are generated go towards this scholarships.

The purpose of the Dellavalle Scholarship is to encourage high school students to pursue careers in soil science. A $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a California high school senior who plans to pursue a degree in a soil-science related field. In addition, the scholarship recipient will receive their first year of membership to ASA, CSSA, SSSA as an undergraduate for free. Selection will be based on leadership qualities and future plans for a soil science related career. Learn more in our informational flyer. The successful recipient will also have the option to be considered for an internship or part-time employment with Dellavalle Laboratory while an undergraduate. The scholarship is supported by the Nat and Ann Dellavalle Scholarship Fund through the Agronomic Science Foundation and administered by the Soil Science Society of America.
