Today you will need: notebook, pencil, computer (for research), poster supplies
Learning objective: explain your understanding of the integumentary system
Do Now
Turn and talk - What is a question you still have about the integumentary system?
Next
Studio time to work on your poster project. Focus on researching your topic first. Then create a rough draft of your idea before you start using poster board and markers. You should be working on creation at this point!
Remember that regardless of the scenario you choose to depict, you must Include information about the skins physical, biological, and chemical barriers and defenses and/or sensory functions (e.g. you might include the stratum corneum, the sweat and oil glands, or immune cells). In other words, how does your body work for you to protect you and maintain homeostasis?
Make sure your poster has color, a clear title, and can be read from four feet away.

why topical collagen creams don't actually reduce wrinkles
how the body responds to tattoos
how the integumentary system responds to temperature changes
other integumentary system topics with teacher's approval
Regardless of the scenario you choose to depict, you must Include information about the skins physical, biological, and chemical barriers and defenses (e.g. you may discuss the stratum corneum, the sweat and oil glands, or immune cells)
You will need to use your knowledge, your notes, and other resources (books, internet, etc.) to answer the question you choose. You may work with one other person or you may choose to work on this independently. Your poster will be displayed in the classroom and should include the question (the scenario) as well as the answer. Make it large! You will have the rest of the week to work on it.
