This guide walks you through what to expect during onboarding and offers helpful tips for completing the Etsy & Depop questionnaire in Certa, our supplier onboarding platform.

We use Certa to collect and manage supplier information throughout the onboarding process.

Why do I need to be onboarded?

The supplier onboarding questionnaire is used to gather all the required information we need to onboard and pay you. It will also help us track our progress toward the environmental, social, and governance goals we have set for our corporate supply chain and ensure that you are aware of our Supplier Code of Conduct.

How will I be notified?

When it's time to begin, you'll receive an email from hello@thevetted.com. Follow the link to generate a one-time password and access your onboarding questionnaire.

Supplier Questionnaire

❗Before submitting, ensure your Legal Entity Name is correct. If you're in the US or doing business with a US entity, this should match the name on your W9 / W8-BEN / W8-BEN-E paperwork.

Tax Information

❗ If you are located in the US or doing business with a US Entity your name should reflect the name on your W9 / W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E paperwork.

Typically this means a corporate name ending in a suffix such as "Limited" "LLC" "LLP" "Inc." or "Incorporated". Please check and use your correct, exact legal name for contracting purposes.

You'll need to provide a fully completed and signed:

W9 — US citizens or US-based companies
W-8BEN — Non-US individuals doing business with a US entity
W-8BEN-E — Non-US companies doing business with a US entity

Payment Information

▶️ Your Action: Select your payment type and complete all mandatory fields (*). Once your bank country is selected, additional fields will appear.

❗This section is mandatory, we won’t be able to provide your payment if you do not complete these fields.

💡 Mexico-based suppliers: the Bank Code is the first three digits of your CLABE.

Impact Questionnaire

This section helps us track progress toward our ESG goals.

Code of Conduct

Please read and acknowledge our Supplier Code of Conduct, which outlines standards for conducting business in an ethical, lawful, and responsible way. You won't be able to proceed to the next section without acknowledging it.

Confirm and certify that all information submitted is true, accurate, and correct.

FOR SOME SUPPLIERS

Security review via VISO Trust

If you indicate that you will need access to our data or internal systems, you will be required to provide additional information to verify your IT security.

You'll receive an email from hello@visotrust.com with instructions on how to complete this process.

Certa troubleshooting

Before troubleshooting, please note that Certa is not compatible with Internet Explorer, Edge, or mobile devices. We recommend Google Chrome.

General access issues

Try these steps in order:

Clear your cache and cookies
Close and reopen the browser window
Update Google Chrome to the latest version
Try completing the questionnaire in Incognito mode

Error code WS002

Make sure you're using the correct URL from your original invitation email. If the issue persists, contact suppliers@etsy.com with a screenshot of the error.

Unable to select a Tax ID

Unfortunately there is no self-serve fix for this issue. Contact us at suppliers@etsy.com and our team will manually complete your onboarding.

What happens after you submit your questionnaire?

Once you've completed the questionnaire, our Procurement team will receive a notification and begin processing your onboarding. We'll contact you directly if we need any clarification.

Next step 1: Set up your Coupa account

Once fully onboarded, you'll receive an invitation to link your Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) account to Etsy/Depop. This will allow you to receive Purchase Orders and submit invoices.

Next step 2: Start receiving Purchase Orders

Once your CSP account is active, you'll have visibility of all your Purchase Orders and can begin invoicing directly through Coupa.
