The Community Service Department is a resource center dedicated to providing meaningful service-learning experiences to ETHS students. We provide students with personal, one-on-one assistance in identifying service and leadership opportunities in the community as well as within ETHS that suit student schedules, personal goals, skill sets, and interests. Our mission is to connect students to their community to develop relationships, skills, and passions that foster a care for others and a sense of interconnectedness.

Ever since starting as the intern in the office in 2021, I've loved getting to connect students to service and help them discover passions and skills that they can use throughout their lives. Together, we can build the world that we all want to live in. I feel so grateful to the students for bringing excitement and joy into the office every day!
Talk to me about puppets, reading, music, or my cats Lady Thistle and Sister Spike (pictured to the left). I also love swimming in the lake, riding my bike, and watching reality tv.

As a former North Shore teen myself, I learned about my responsibility to my community and to justice through incredible service and organizing opportunities created by those who came before me. Beyond showing me the power of youth to create their own change and empowerment, these spaces taught me to see justice work as breeding grounds for joy. I’ll never accept the notion that people who care about what’s wrong in this world are weighed down by an obsession with the negative. Allow me to offer an alternative; what if in addressing these issues head on, we can feel more powerful, lighter, and more connected to the world and the people around us? I bring joy to justice through visual arts, music (I play in a band called Unsolicited Feedback), and community building components to every space of change I enter.
