One of the most valuable outcomes of our Erasmus+ project "See you SEA benefits!" is the SEAfullness Handbook — a free collection of four interlinked learning scenarios developed and tested by teachers and students in Croatia, Portugal, Greece and Italy: Reading your Sea, Sustainable Sea, Sea mindfulness and Blue Gym.
Each scenario connects physical activity, mental wellbeing and marine sustainability, giving teenagers concrete, sea-based tools to manage everyday stress while deepening their understanding of the marine environment. The Handbook directly answers our project's objectives to help students "recognise their own mental state and implement ways of self-help using the Sea and its benefits", to "acquire important life-skills" such as transnational collaboration, digital and language competences, and to "exemplify local ways that contribute to the sustainability of marine ecosystems".
For our four schools, the Handbook also fulfils the objective to "promote the exchange of practices in teaching sustainability and mental health strategies among different countries", bringing together each partner's strongest expertise into one coherent, ready-to-use resource.
The Handbook is freely available for download and reuse, so that any teacher in Europe — and beyond — can bring the benefits of the sea into their own classroom.
