Students must earn a minimum of 220 credits in required courses to graduate. 

For every class that you pass with a D- or higher, you will earn 5 credits per semester.

If you have passed all courses during 9th and 10th grade, and you pass all courses in 11th grade, you will end 11th grade with a total of 180 credits.

Check your Canvas regularly to monitor your academic progress, receive important information, and check for upcoming counseling events. 

Maintain grades, and aim for A's and B's - college admission representatives will pay close attention to your junior year!

Meet with your counselor to discuss your grades and your plans.

Get involved or continue your involvement in extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, volunteering, community service, internships, etc.

Visit and create accounts for college/career websites: 

1. Log into to your http://arms.esuhsd.org account and click on California Colleges 

2. California State University 

3. CA Career Zone 

Attend college/career fairs.

Review the high school graduation and "A-G" requirements (found on the Graduation Requirements and College Information pages).

Colleges/Universities only accept "C-" or better grades, which means that if you earn a "D" grade you will need to re-take the class for a better grade. 

Explore Silicon Valley Career Technical Education (SVCTE)

Maintain grades, and aim for A's and B's - college admission officers pay close attention to your junior year!

Meet with your counselor if you need to improve your grades or recover credits for a required class for graduation or college.

Make a list of colleges you plan to attend (Safety, Reach, Dream)

Participate in school events (workshops, college representative visits)​

Review the Course Catalog and talk to your counselor to help you choose classes for 12th grade.

Start thinking about who to ask for a letter of recommendation. If you are applying for programs, private universities, and/or scholarships you will need letters of recommendation. Some schools are very specific as to who should write the letter, and it may depend on your major. Make a copy of this letter of recommendation request form to give to your recommenders.

Take AP exams if you took AP Courses. If you get free/reduced lunch you qualify for a fee reduction.
