When I first landed in Paris, I didn’t know exactly what to expect — just that I wanted to be somewhere that connected technology, innovation, and management in a meaningful way. That’s what drew me to the M.Sc. Management of Technology – Information Systems (MOTIS) program at ESIEE Paris.
What I really liked about MOTIS was its balance — it wasn’t just one thing. It gave me the chance to learn from both the technical and management sides: from courses in digital transformation, data management, analytics, IS project management, SAP, and requirement engineering, to subjects like project management, entrepreneurship, negotiation, creative leadership, and innovation strategy. I enjoyed that mix — it helped me see how technology fits into the bigger business picture. The program also had a very international atmosphere, with students from all over the world. Working on group projects with people from different backgrounds taught me a lot about communication, teamwork, and adaptability — lessons you don’t get from books. One thing I truly appreciated was the professors. They were not only experts but also incredibly approachable and supportive. Even after completing my studies, I’ve remained in touch with several of them — it’s a circle of guidance and mentorship I still value deeply.
In June, our group worked on the Green Paris Project, a research project focused on innovative green energy solutions for a sustainable future. We really applied our project management perspective to this one — planning, organizing, and executing it like a real consulting assignment. Then in July, we collaborated with a Paris-based startup called Finds, where we developed a technical solution tailored to their business needs. That hands-on exposure made a big difference.
I also represented the university twice in the European Hackathon, and one year our team earned third place at the French Ministry of Ecological Transition — an experience that taught me the excitement of creative problem-solving at a global level.
In 2024, I worked with the Olympic Broadcasting Services at Roland Garros during the Paris Paralympics, coordinating with over 50 international broadcasters like BBC, NBC, and Eurosport. It was fast-paced, challenging, and one of the highlights of my time in France. Another special part of my journey was taking a solo backpacking trip across France. Traveling from city to city, meeting people, and experiencing everyday life gave me a deeper understanding of French culture — beyond what you learn in classes or books. It’s one of the memories that will always stay with me.
Today, what started as an internship at Ferrero has grown into a full-time role, where I work on the company’s IT Asset Management transformation. Every day, I find myself applying elements I learned from MOTIS — especially the mix of technical understanding and project management thinking. Throughout, there were many challenges along the way, but now when I look back, every bit of it was worth it. Each challenge shaped something in me — personally and professionally. Looking back, I can honestly say the MOTIS program gave me exactly what I was searching for — a broad, international perspective and a real foundation to grow in both technology and management.
