Leadership Year Highlights

Once you have passed RESA, you can be registered as a year 4 resident educator and complete your leadership year.
Leadership activities are locally determined by your school district of hire.
You are assigned a colleague to work with to complete leadership requirements.
ODE sets the parameters for schools for the leadership activities. Click here to access.
Leadership Activities consist of the following:

Completion of a leadership project and documentation of leadership project/year reflection.
Completion of "Advancing Teacher Leadership" modules from ODE Learning Management System.

Note: Check with your District Program Coordinator for required documentation of leadership activities.

Once you complete your leadership year and are signed off in CORE, you will then be able to transition to your 5 year license.

Note: The end of the year 4 session will provide support for your to transition and maintain your 5 year professional license.

Next Steps

Meet with your colleague and share what you did at this session.
Find out your school district requirements for documentation of year 4
Finish planning project and get it approved by your principal
Meet with your colleague throughout your leadership year and document reflections
Complete project and document your leadership project reflections. (Check with your local resident educator program coordinator for documentation requirements)
Attend Final Year 4 Meeting on March 2nd and be prepared to share out.
