Internet Safety
What is our goal?
Our goal is to provide comprehensive, grade-appropriate internet safety education for all district students while ensuring compliance with federal requirements outlined in the Broadband Data Improvement Act and the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act.
We aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly by addressing key topics such as cyberbullying, social media use, identity theft, online communication, privacy, and scams. Through engaging lessons and interactive activities, students will build understanding and apply safe online practices.
Additionally, we strive to make implementation seamless for districts by offering fully managed courses by grade band (K–2, 3–5, 6–8, 9–12), along with setup and ongoing technical support from Digital Learning.
Online Course Creation
What is our goal?
The goal of our online course creation program is to expand access, flexibility, and impact in professional learning for school districts. While our initial focus has been on developing high-quality online courses to support the IMPACT alternative certification program, we have also partnered with Region 7 content specialists to create engaging online workshops that provide teachers with convenient, on-demand professional learning opportunities. Building on this foundation, we collaborate with districts to design customized courses aligned to their specific initiatives, priorities, and instructional goals. By managing the technical development and delivery, we enable districts to focus on what matters most, equipping educators with meaningful, relevant learning experiences that support teacher growth and improve student outcomes.
Impact Story
When I made the decision to pursue teaching through the IMPACT Region 7 Alternative Certification Program, I knew I needed something flexible, practical, and supportive, but I didn’t fully realize how impactful the online portion would be in shaping me into a confident and prepared educator. The online courses quickly became one of the program's strongest aspects, allowing me to balance coursework with my responsibilities and work at a pace that supported real understanding. The content was practical and directly connected to real classroom scenarios, making it easy to apply strategies immediately. The platform’s clear structure, interactive components, and opportunities for reflection kept me engaged, while the ability to revisit materials provided ongoing support as I gained classroom experience. Overall, the online portion offered the flexibility, relevance, and accessibility I needed to succeed and build the skills necessary to be effective in the classroom.
