Listening skills are an integral part of a student's English learning journey. To support this, we provide each student with a listening homework card. After listening to the daily audio, the students receieve a stamp from a parent/guardian. It's great to see the number of stamps growing and growing!
Recently, the first graders have been studying about insects in English class. Making their own insect cages is a great way to deepen their knowledge of insects, as well as being really fun! Research has shown that listening and doing at the same time results in good educational outcomes.
The first grade students love going outside to learn! Looking, touching, seeing and experiencing is a great way for students to begin their English journey. In this photo students are learning about bugs of all shapes and sizes!
The first grade students participate energetically and enthusiastically in craft activities to mark special occasions, such as Halloween, Christmas and Easter!
