Elementary - ERUSD DISTANCE LEARNING GUIDELINES 20-21

This session will provide an overview of the expectations for the El Rancho Unified School District as we engage in Distance Learning for the launch of the 2020-2021 school year. Topics covered will include daily schedule, synchronous and asynchronous instruction, office hours and instructional platforms. The purpose of this session is to insure that all teachers in ERUSD have an understanding of the distance learning guidelines for our district.

In this session, you will learn tools for teaching math synchronously and asynchronously. We will cover how to find, set up and implement Desmos activities as well as familiarize ourselves with creating content in Edpuzzle. Using Math and Science Performance Tasks Formatively During Distance Learning

This one hour online professional development provides teachers and instructional support personnel with performance task resources in Math and Science that may be used during distance learning. Teachers will learn how these tasks are used formatively by applying the “Three Act Lesson” strategy. Guidance will be provided on how to scaffold performance tasks and facilitate learning through two 20 - minute distance learning sessions.
