Tunisian demography in the turmoil of the climate crisis
After several months of study, here is what we can deduce from the Tunisian demographic situation :
Evolution of the Tunisian population since 1960
According to the UN, the Tunisian population could reach 13 million 476 thousand people in 2050.
Currently nearly 3,220,000 people, so 27.5% of Tunisians are in a situation of severe vulnerability, the majority of whom are women.
Moreover the brain drain that our country is experiencing, combined with other phenomena, will expose Tunisia to the amplification of medical deserts, illiteracy, waterstress...
This is why, it is imperative, to find solutions applicable in Tunisia, to face these different problems :
For example, we could: better support healthcare professionals in their daily lives; promote wastewater reuse; build awareness of wasting water consequences or improve agriculture system (limit food and energy losses)...
Brain drain : the emigration of hihgly trained or qualified people from particular country.
