CLEAR BAG POLICY

To provide a safe environment for the public and improved fan entry into the Rose Bowl, the Rose Bowl has implemented a policy that limits the size and type of bags allowed in the stadium. The following bags are permitted into the Rose Bowl:

· Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”

· One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).

· Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.

· An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at a gate designated for this purpose.

Prohibited items include, but are not limited to: purses larger than a clutch bag, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size. Read more about the clear bag policy by clicking here.

COLLEGE FAIR ACTIVITIES

Upon bus arrival in Lot I, a UCLA staff member will meet you at your bus, greet all participants and direct your group toward the College Fair area, which is located next to Gate E. From Lot I you will walk up Arroyo Blvd to the stadium. Once you reach Gate A you will walk along the East side of the stadium to Gate E (walk to the right as you are looking at Gate A). There will be signs pointing the way to Gate E as well as volunteers directing groups.

Those arriving in individual cars (please see map) should also go to the College Fair area for their buttons, information, and activities. The College Fair will be staffed by various university officials and student athletes who are available to answer questions and provide information about the college experience. Your group will have the opportunity to play carnival games, receive face painting or a temporary tattoo, dance to the tunes of the IGTC DJ, and get autographs from our student-athletes.

ADMISSION & SEATING

High Schools: Due to NCAA regulations we are not able to provide high school groups with hard tickets. Instead, your group has been placed on a gate list. You will check in for the gate list inside the college fair area in Gate E and enter the stadium. Your group leader will provide the gate attendant with the appropriate contact information. Your entire gate list (an alphabetized list including the name of all highs school students) must be provided via email (communityrelations@athletics.ucla.edu) to UCLA no later than October 18, 2019.

FOOD

UCLA's "I'm Going to College" fair will have a few food tents set up outside gate E. Other food options are:

1) Bring snacks from home. You are welcome to bring food into the college fair area. However, you cannot bring coolers, glass bottles, aluminum cans or items that are easily thrown, such as unsliced fruit into the Rose Bowl stadium. Please check here for a full list of prohibited items.

2) The Food Zone, located in Lot-H, houses a number of food vendors.

3) Concessions stands will also be open inside the Rose Bowl, featuring standard concession fare.

“I'M GOING TO COLLEGE” T-SHIRTS

“I'm Going to College” T-shirts are available for sale inside the pre-game College Fair to all participants. Sizes range from youth small to adult extra-large, inventory permitting.

HELPFUL TIPS

Visit the “Bruin Fun Zone” to find UCLA games, activities, songs, photos, and college preparation materials. Please utilize some or all of these resources to get your students excited leading up to the game!

Please plan to have chaperones accompany all students at a 1:10 minimum ratio. We highly encourage all students to wear a button/nametag or T-shirt/uniform with their school name on it. WE WILL WEAR OUR ERHS AVID SHIRTS THAT WERE HANDED OUT THIS YEAR. Once the game begins, all separated students should report to the Pasadena Police Office located inside the Rose Bowl, near Gate B. Chaperones can also meet missing students at this location as well. UCLA requires a game day contact and phone number with your group’s RSVP. Customer Service/Pasadena Police representatives will have this list and contact this person should a member of your group get separated.
