Our Seniors went South to San Diego on Thursday, November 8th. We visited three schools: University of San Diego (Ms. Barill's Alma Mater), CSUSD (aka San Diego State), and CSUSM (San Marcos).
University of San Diego is a private, Jesuit university. You will absolutely fall in love with the Spanish Colonial Architecture. San Diego State has the sun, the sports, and a strong Greek presence on campus. San Marcos is an up and coming campus. We ran into Class of 2020 Alum Giselle Arteaga, and she told us there are lots of new building construction with modern amenities, but its only 90 min from Pico or 45 min from downtown San Diego. Far enough away to live on campus but close enough if you are home sick.

The AVID 11 class went to visit three campuses across LA, OC, and Riverside County - CSU Pomona, CSU Riverside, and CSU Fullerton. It was a rapid fire trip, and all campuses were covered in rouughly 90 minutes. We the Ranch at 8am and we returned at 3:30pm. Students, in small groups, were given a Scavenger Hunt sheet of general locations on campus that all students should know. They took pictures in front of Admin buildings, Housing Locations, Student Unions, etc. Below are a few pictures that I took from all three locations.
