A Message From The Superintendent

A Message from Giovanni Giancaspro, Superintendent

East Rutherford School District:

As you may know, the East Rutherford School District Bond Referendum was approved by voters in January 28th's special election!

On behalf of the Board of Education and administration, I want to thank you — and all of the District's advocates — for supporting the referendum. We are elated that the community showed its commitment on January 28th, we know it was possible only through the hard work and dedication of our teachers and staff, parents/guardians, and community supporters.

We are grateful for your unwavering commitment to the East Rutherford School District and our mission to enable our students to learn effectively, and to encourage them to become life-long learners, as they grow to understand themselves, accept their worth, fulfill their potential, and become effective and responsible citizens in a democratic society and in a multicultural world.

Now, we can begin the work that will further ensure their safety and welfare, as they explore the possibilities for their futures that a strong education provides.

The Board and Administration made a special effort to reach out to all of our constituents to be certain everyone was educated and informed about the Referendum, to address any concerns, and to answer questions.

This is an exciting time for the East Rutherford School District. I am thrilled that we will be able to move forward in providing our children with the academic programs necessary to ensure they are competitive with students of surrounding school districts. Together, we can uphold the legacy of academic excellence found in the East Rutherford Schools.

Again, thank you for your support.
