Mission & Vision

Due to the fact that we, the ERA Counseling Department, have the following assumptions and philosophies about school counseling:

A counseling program …

• Reaches every student, is comprehensive in scope, preventative in design and developmental in nature
• Uses a delivery system that includes school guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services and system support
• Selects measurable, data-driven student competencies based on needs in the areas of academic, career and personal/social domains and seeks improvement each year based on results

Every student …

• Is a unique individual with value, gifts and talents, and a future that can be enhanced with a quality education
• Can access program services regardless of ethnicity, culture, race, sexual orientation or disability
• Can reach their own personal highest potential given the appropriate resources, support and encouragement

The Counselors ...

• act according to the highest ethical standards as described by ASCA's Code of Ethics
• continually seek out and participate in professional development opportunities
• collaborate with the school administration, teachers and other school professionals to maintain alignment with Eagle Ridge Academy's mission and vision.

It is the mission of the Eagle Ridge Academy Counseling Department to serve each unique individual student through a comprehensive counseling program designed to promote academic excellence, develop personal/social growth and connect students with career and college options.
