The school district will continue to use ParentSquare as our primary platform for school and district communications during the 2026–2027 school year.
You will receive important messages from school and district officials via posts, emails, and texts even if you have not downloaded the ParentSquare app. We will handle all permission slips and payments through ParentSquare.

POWERSCHOOL
This is the main platform for teachers to communicate learning progress.
PowerSchool is so many things to schools today. It houses all student records, including state standardized test scores, attendance, and historical grades. Teachers also use PowerSchool regularly to communicate student performance, with many grades posted that include comments that inform and direct students to retry, change focus, or continue on their path. If you have any concerns about how your child is progressing, a great first stop is the PowerSchool Parent Portal. This platform allows you to stay informed about your child's progress.
HKMS's resident PowerSchool guru is Mrs. Cahalan. If you have any login issues or other questions, please send her an email at scahalan@er9.org.
The HKMS Weekly Family Newsletter
It is our ongoing goal to send you only one email per week (our newsletter). Putting everything into one newsletter frees up your inbox. We fill each newsletter with "classroom peeks" (a quick glimpse inside several classes from each grade and FPAs) "HKMS Happenings" (things going on outside of classrooms, like extracurricular clubs, or PTO updates), upcoming events, and other sections that capture the past week and preview those upcoming weeks.
Our big ASK: please be sure to at least “scan” through every section. We often get emails and phone calls asking about items we have been including in this newsletter, which shows not everyone is reading it to the bottom. If you’d like more individual email communications, we can do that! If not, please make this your homework every week. It is our most utilized form of communication with all of you. Also, if you have suggestions on other features we should include, please let us know. Thank you!
We use a Google Site to create the newsletter. The “home” page is our most current newsletter (older newsletters are copied to the archive and available at any time). If you bookmark or save this page, you don't have to open our email every week. We typically “publish” the newsletter by 2:30 PM on Fridays. All you have to do is refresh this page at that time and you’ll be up to date on all things HKMS!
The town of Easton as well as Easton Public Schools offer a wide variety of social services for name of our community.
Do you know that a family of three in Easton needs to make $115,000 a year to just survive and nearly 18% of families do not reach that income threshold?
Easton's Here to Help as well as each school offer social services that can provide financial and mental health assistance. If you are in need of help, please contact Easton's Here to help at info@eastonsheretohelp.org or HKMS's social worker, Mrs. Bailey Keehan (bkeehan@er9.org).
