Welcome to St.Cadoc's Nursery Class

In St.Cadoc's Nursery Class we aim to help your child create happy memories which they can take with them as they continue their education in Primary School and beyond. Our staff are committed to ensuring that your all children are nurtured and encouraged to develop skills and attitudes which will help throughout their life.

We value our partnership with parents very highly and recognise you as the first and most important educators of your child. Children develop a greater sense of wellbeing and their learning benefits from close working relationships between their parents and staff. Throughout the nursery we seek to build mutual trust, respect and warm and caring relationships.

St.Cadoc's Nursery Class opened in August 2019. Our Nursery Class was originally the Primary 1 base for St.Cadoc's Primary School. We have a bright and attractive playroom which has a creative, imaginative, social, STEM and sensory area within it. We are very lucky to also have a well developed nursery garden and outdoor classroom. We make very good use of the local environment and, as a nursery, we visit the woods daily with every child having the opportunity to visit once a week.

Our staff are committed to providing the highest quality learning  experiences for all of the children, to help them achieve their best potential. We follow local and national guidelines for Curriculum for Excellence for Children 3-18. For a few children who are at an earlier stage in their development, we use the Pre-Birth to Three national guidelines.

We are part of the St.Ninian's High School cluster and work closely with various local schools in the area. The family centre is  non-denominational and we respect and welcome families from all faiths, beliefs and backgrounds.

We look forward to getting to know you all and working with you to provide the best possible education for your child.

Kindest regards,

Maria McBride

Head Teacher of St.Cadoc's Primary School and Nursery Class.
