We have two parents' evenings per year - one in October and one in March.
At the end of the year, all parents and carers will be provided with a printed copy of their child's seesaw journal and a comment from their keyworker reporting on health & wellbeing and key achievements throughout the year.
Floorbooks are availble for parents/carers to access at any point throughout the year and will also be left out to look through during parents' evening.
We use seesaw throughout the year to report to parents. More information regarding how we use seesaw can be found below.
We host many events throughout the year including stay and play sessions, coffee and chat and information morning/afternoons.
Seesaw and Floorbooks.
In our nursery, we have a healthy mixture of adult led and child led learning experiences on offer. All adult led learning experiences are documented on seesaw and child led learning is documented through our floorbooks. Each area of our nursery has a floorbook and these are on the nursery floor and can be accessed by children and parents at any point. These are a great way for children to reflect on, revisit and discuss their learning with peers, staff and parents. All floorbooks will also be left out for parents' evenings.
Our staff will also sometimes upload some pictures to seesaw for "home discussion". These are pictures of children leading their learning which you will also find in floorbooks, however, they allow you to discuss learning with children at home.

All children in our Nursery Class have an online seesaw journal. This is an excellent way for our staff to share learning from Nursery with parents and carers. Seesaw also allows parents to interact with staff in the nursery and to share any pictures/videos/achievements from home.
Seesaw can be downloaded onto smart devices via the app/google play store. This guide will provide more information with regards to how to set this up on your smart devices or how to access via a website link on a laptop/computer.
