It has been a busy week!
We worked hard to make posters advertising Stormbreaker. We looked at what made up a good poster, including features such as having a bold headline and creative images. Well done everyone!
JO and AK proudly hold up their super efforts so far!
EB was creative in her drawing of fire to really help her poster stand out.
JL and LM worked as a team to create a visual adventure of their own!
OD and DH focused on characters when creating theirs, and VM included lots of comic creative visuals!

The adventures of Alex Rider have definitely caught the imagination this term. Also, the mid movie snacks seemed to go down a 'treat'.
OK demonstrated a knack for intricate paintbrush use. She says this spy gadget will help her 'know when her dad or her teacher are being cringey'.

We had a wonderful last day of term.
This week we shared our presentations on our hard work all term with our Soar High projects.
AR enjoyed presenting on Brazilian sports.
The boys also presented on Brazilian basketball...

As part of our focus on 'talk for writing' we have been practising story mapping. As a class we listened to a model text and then followed a story mapped out using drawn images. From here the learners could follow, embellish and improve the story through a series of actions. In small groups we acted out our version of the model text. Later in the week we used our knowledge of the story to create an imaginative description of a linked setting.
