April 2023
Food for thought...
The children have been very busy planting wheat in the nursery. This has encouraged conversations to help us understand how bread is made.
We look forward to eventually harvesting the wheat to grind down to make our own flour for bread...watch this space!
Junk Modeling
One of our most popular areas in the nursery is the junk modelling table. The children have been using various materials to make decorations, cards for Eid and explore their own creativity when using junk modelling. They used domes and other shapes to design a mosque when discussing the celebrations of Eid and how we celebrate in different religions.
We need your help...
We are looking for materials and interesting objects for our creative and discovery areas and would appreciate any donations.
The following are some examples of what we could use:
newspaper/magazine
egg cartons
small jars
small cardboard boxes
fabric
stones
buttons
bottle lids or tops
or any similar loose parts
Learning Journals
Just a friendly reminder to all parents to please return Learning Journals to the nursery. Thank you! :)
March 2023
The children loved having parents and grandparents visit the nursery for our Stay and Play sessions...
