Looking to the future

A new centre for Central Scotland

Since forming in 2015 our ultimate goal has been to establish a dedicated RDA centre so that we can maximise our impact and support as many people as possible. We have a long waiting list and need our own, accessible premises so that we can bring in more horses, increase the number and variety of sessions we offer and support a wider range of disabilities.

In February 2024 we submitted a planning application for land at Kildean in Stirling. We planned an RDA and community facility of excellence that made the beautiful countryside by the River Forth accessible to all.

Unfortunately the submission of our application coincided with the introduction of a new national planning policy, NPF4. The policy introduced strict new conditions precluding building on flood plains, meaning we are no longer able to build our dream centre on the site.

Can you help?

Our trustees, staff team, volunteers and architects remain absolutely committed to ensuring work on our original plans is put to good use on a new site. And we need your help – you can be our eyes and ears on the ground, spread the word about the impact of our activities, and help us find an equestrian property or plot of land for sale. If you know of a suitable premises or piece of land please get in touch
