December 14, 2023: RMS will dismiss at 1:45 with students being dismissed as busses arrive. We are also continuing the early arrival option. Doors open at 7:30 am.

December 13, 2023: After discussion with the East Providence Police and Mayor DaSilva regarding this morning's traffic situation, we have decided to reopen schools tomorrow, Thursday, December 14th. We will follow an early dismissal schedule in order to ensure elementary students get home before the rush hour traffic increases. 

RMS will dismiss at 1:45pm tomorrow. Bus 28 will dismiss as soon as it arrives to help ensure it makes it through the run before getting elementary students.

We encourage families to walk to school or carpool whenever possible in heavily congested areas.

In an effort to support parents/ guardians who have to travel to work after student drop off, schools will open early on Thursday and Friday. School start times will remain the same.

Early drop off time is 7:30 am for RMS for Thursday and Friday.

Our goal is to keep schools open but this is a continuously evolving situation that will be monitored closely. Decisions will be made with the safety of students and staff as the priority. We appreciate your continued flexibility and understanding as we navigate this difficult situation.

The band concert is ON for tomorrow night at 7pm! Please ensure your band student is at the school at the time indicated by their teacher.

Boys & Girls Club activities at RMS are canceled for tomorrow. The director of the program is working to determine if some activities can be virtual. Stay tuned.

All other after school events or after school help is canceled and there will be NO late bus. All students except those in the sports listed below, should go home at 1:45pm when we dismiss. 

Sports:

Wrestling practice is on for tomorrow and canceled for Friday.

Girls Basketball will practice 2:15-3:45pm Thursday and Friday.

Boys Basketball will practice 3:45-5:15pm Thursday and Friday.

Please ensure you are able to get to the school for pick up at 5:15pm.

December 13, 2023: Virtual day for RMS. Students will attend homeroom and attendance will be taken in homeroom before students report to their first class.  Each class will take attendance as if it was an in-person day. Students should log on to their Google Classrooms.
