Congratulations on being accepted to be members of this year's Rhode Island Junior All-State Chorus!

I want to express how proud I am of all of you for auditioning, along with over nearly 1,400 of RI’s best music students, for the Rhode Island Junior All-State Chorus, Band and Orchestra last weekend.

It’s a challenging audition and an honor to be accepted into these ensembles, so I hope you feel a great sense of accomplishment! It's also an especially brave thing to do!

What to do if you're accepted

• Once accepted, go to the RIMEA website, complete your All-State Student Contract online as soon as possible.  

  • Submission deadline:
    Friday, December 5, 2025; signed contracts must be postmarked by Friday, December 12, 2025

• Make sure that you select the correct ensemble when submitting your contract. 

• When filling out the form online, please enter Edward R. Martin Middle School as the official school name.

• Print a copy and get student/parent signatures, and bring it in to me. I will then sign it and have Mrs. Marchand sign it. 

• Bring in a check for $90 payable to MMS Chorus. I will write one check to RIMEA for the entire fee. 

• Carefully check the rehearsal and performance dates to make sure that you can make all of them, as there is a 100% attendance policy. T-shirts and lunch are included in the cost, so make your selections.  Of course, you can always bring your own lunch, too.

Rehearsals:
February 4, 2026 6:15-8:45 p.m. @ TBD (snow date, if needed: February 5, 2026)
March 13, 2026, 9:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m. @ TBD
March 14, 2026, 9:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m. @ TBD

Concert:
March 15, 2026, time TBD @ TBD (snow date, if needed: March 16, 2026, time TBD)

Submission deadline:
Friday, December 5, 2025; signed contracts must be postmarked by Friday, December 12, 2025
(Incomplete or late submissions will constitute replacement of student.)

Participation fee:
$90 cash or check (Non-refundable)

All-State Weekend information:

*Students in 7/8 grade that will be missing school on Friday: The main office already knows and you will be marked present for the day. No need to call the school.
