What does the Referral Process look like?

Parents/ Guardians will meet with the Evaluation Team consisting of Preschool Coordinator, Psychologist, Social Worker, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupation Therapist, and Special Education Educator.

The team will review the child's profile and ask questions regarding developmental milestones important family and medical histories. The team will also recommend additional evaluations and assessments if necessary. Parent/ Guardian will need to sign consent for the team to complete the evaluations and an eligibility meeting will be scheduled.

At this meeting  team will review the results of the administered assessments and evaluations . Should the the child qualify to receive Special Education they will receive a label which allows the district to provide  services.

During the initial IEP meeting the team with review the individualized  goals and objectives for the child as well as classroom/ educational environment placement  and how the services will be delivered.
