April 20-25
Major: Songs in the major key usually have a happy feeling to them. These songs are based on the major scale, from low Do to high Do. Major songs typically sound happy, sunny or stable.
April 14-17
Chord: A combination of 3 or more notes that blend nicely when played together. You can play chords on instruments like the piano or guitar, but not on instruments that play one note at a time, like a trumpet. It means sounds that go together or are in agreement with each other.
April 6-9
Quarter Note: A note that is held for 1 beat. It is also called a ta.
March 30- April 3
Harmony: music notes played or sung at the same time that make a pleasant sound. Harmony is similar to a chord, but it can be 2 notes only (or more). Watch this video to learn the difference between the melody and harmony of a song.
