Dr. Anne Anderson High School is home to our A-team. The A-team is a group of student leaders eager to plan and engage others in events and initiatives that facilitate change, create a welcoming and inclusive environment, and ignite school spirit. Our monthly meetings help to develop student skills and leadership capacity while encouraging service work with the intention of uplifting our community and advancing the common good. Whether you are a student looking to lead or just want to engage with friends in your school community, there is an opportunity for everyone.
We are proud of the active role our students play in creating our school’s culture. Our students work hard to build Wolf spirit and plan engaging, inclusive, and fun activities, including:
Wolf Pride and other spirit or theme days
Week of Welcome
celebrations and ceremonies
photo booths
outdoor events with contests, giveaways, and information sharing
Club Connect sharing
Daily Howl live TV and announcements
Each year, our students have the opportunity to work towards and apply for an Amplify Award, which recognizes students who have strengthened their community through acts of service. Service work may include volunteering for a school or community event. We want to honour our students who actively and intentionally engage in service work.
We offer a number of clubs and welcome students to initiate a proposal if they are interested in leading a club of their own. Some DAAHS Clubs:
GSA
